WEPOWER'S WIND TURBINES (VAWT) "APPROVED" BY CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION AND AMERICAN WIND ENERGY ASSOCIATION

Aliso Viejo, CA (September 10, 2009) /PRNewswire/ — WePOWER LLC, a leading global manufacturer and developer of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) is pleased to announce their wind energy systems have been fully approved by the California Energy Commission ("CEC") as being eligible to qualify for rebate payments and simultaneously acknowledged by the American Wind Energy Association ("AWEA") as being a "commercially proven equipment provider."

"We are extremely proud to be recognized by these key agencies," said Howard Makler, WePOWER's Executive Vice President. "It provides our customers with a high degree of confidence when purchasing our proven wind energy systems, and further establishes us as a market leader," said Makler. WePOWER's line of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) represents the most comprehensive product offerings in the small wind industry, including: Falcon 1.2kW, 3.4kW, 5.5kW and 12kW.

The CEC is a leading North American agency that reviews, compiles and approves wind turbines for residential and commercial use, and provides rebates to consumers who install qualifying renewable energy systems through its Emerging Renewables Program. The CEC Equipment Certification Policy requires renewable energy equipment to meet certain standards that protect consumers from buying inferior equipment. These requirements not only benefit consumers, they also protect the renewable energy industry by making it more difficult for substandard systems to reach the market.

WePOWER's complete Falcon line of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines have met the rigorous standards of the California Energy Commission and have been approved by the CEC to be placed on the List of Eligible Small Wind Turbines. "This certification assures consumers that WePOWER's equipment has been thoroughly tested for safety and performance and meet the requirements of the CEC and California Public Utility Commission (CPUC)," Makler explained.

WePOWER is also proud to announce that its product line has been approved on the American Wind Energy Association's Small Wind Turbine Equipment Provider List. This list of "commercially proven US equipment providers" requires manufacturers to supply evidence of being "certified or qualified by recognized agencies as meeting established standards and recommended business practices." "People count on AWEA to provide up-to-date, accurate information about the domestic and international wind energy industry," the AWEA is quoted as saying. WePOWER's inclusion on this list provides consumers yet another solid reason to purchase from WePOWER.
