SAN ANTONIO - December 06, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- - Starting today, home banking takes on a whole new meaning for members of USAA Federal Savings Bank ("USAA"). USAA is now the largest nationwide bank to offer an easy-to-use, secure new service that enables its customers to deposit checks into their bank accounts using a scanner and an Internet connection.
How to use Deposit@Home
Set up. Log on to usaa.com. Enter the amount of the check and select the account to receive the deposit.
Scan. Endorse your check, then follow the prompts to scan the front and back in two easy steps.
Send. Deposits received before 8 p.m. Central on a business day are credited that same day.

Robert Griffiths, a seven-year USAA member who is serving in the military, was impressed with the ease and convenience of USAA's Deposit@Home service. "The ability to scan a check from my home computer and have immediate access to my money has truly changed the way I do banking."
USAA members who qualify to use the service download and install a simple software program available from usaa.com. Computers must be equipped with the Windows 2000 or XP operating system and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher to use Deposit@Home. In addition, the home scanner must provide resolution of at least 200 dpi.
