Let the Post-Election Healing Begin in Las Vegas

Tourism Authority Encourages Democrats, Republicans to Set Differences Aside with Racy Advertisement

LAS VEGAS, Nev. November 6th /PRNewswire/—Now that one of the longest, most contentious political campaigns in recent history has come to an end, it's time for the nation to come together and begin the process of healing. Democrats and Republicans are sure to find plenty of common ground in Las Vegas, according to a new online video spot put together by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The spot, which began running on You Tube today, pairs a couple—one a Democrat, the other a Republican—in a midnight pool-side rendezvous and ends with the simple line, "Let the healing begin."

After a long, arduous campaign season, with both the president-elect and former presidential candidate now calling for national unity, most Americans could use a break and find some time to begin the healing process. No matter if you voted for Barack Obama or John McCain, Las Vegas offers the perfect post-election getaway.

During your stay in Las Vegas, there are plenty of opportunities to put the stress of the election behind you. Retreat to one of Las Vegas' many relaxing spas such as Bathhouse at Mandalay Bay, Qua at Caesars Palace, the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Venetian, or The Spa at Wynn Las Vegas. If retail therapy is more to your liking, fashion finds in Las Vegas can't be beat from high-end designer retail located in The Wynn Esplanade to value-conscious trends at Fashion Show Mall or The Shops at Miracle Mile.

If post-election blues really have you down, why not cheer up with a bit of comedy from Wayne Brady at The Palazzo, Carrot Top at Luxor, or Rita Rudner at Harrah's. Or, if you're not quite ready to put your political stripes away, why not wear your party affiliation permanently with a tattoo by Vince Neil Ink, which celebrates its second anniversary Nov. 8, or Hart & Huntington at The Palms.

Great values can be found in Las Vegas right now, which make it the ideal escape for post-election rejuvenation. For special offers and package deals, go to www.VisitLasVegas.com.
