New Paint Pail Combination Designed to Make Painting “Handier”
No Paint Job Too Large, No Edging Task Too Intricate
MINNEAPOLIS – March 1, 2005 - For painters who have discovered the HANDy Paint Pail® and reveled at the tool’s ability to ease the task of trimming, deliver impeccable edging, and offer quick and easy clean-up, there’s another new painting tool equally essential to your toolbox. The new HANDy Paint Pail Pro-Series works well for jobs where more paint is needed. The Pro-Series is designed to handle brushes and mini rollers. When used together, the pails are a unique and complete set of painting tools that allow users to tackle a variety of jobs.
“We received such positive feedback from the original HANDy Paint Pail that we decided to add a complementary model that would bring the same comfort and convenience to painters with the ability to accommodate more paint,” said Mark Bergman, president of Bercom, Inc., a Minneapolis-based manufacturing company. “The two models in the HANDy Paint Pail line allow do-it-yourselfers and pros to paint virtually anything with less stress and more precision.”
The new pail is larger than the original to accommodate more paint, up to a half gallon. The Pro-Series has a second easy grip handle to provide comfort when the pail is full and when using the adjustable strap is less practical. The soft, oversized grip is made of thick, comfortable plastic so as to not dig into the user’s hands like the painfully familiar metal handles on traditional paint cans. The HANDy Paint Pail Pro-Series can accommodate up to a four-inch brush. There is also a built-in grid that allows users to wipe off excess paint from rollers, transferring it easily back into the pail.
“Imagine the handiness and efficiency when you team up with a partner – one person cutting in or painting trim with the original – the other following with a roller and the HANDy Paint Pail Pro-Series,” added Bergman.
The HANDy Paint Pail Pro-Series also has many of the same features as the original, such as the specially-designed disposable plastic liners for multi-colored jobs and keeping the pail clean. When painters need a break, they don’t have to put the roller on the ground or leave it soaking in paint, instead the metal stick of the roller conveniently attaches to a magnet inside the pail. In addition, covers are available that stretch over the pail’s mouth and create a seal to keep the paint fresh and ready for its next use.
