Citi Makes the Holiday Season Even Brighter

Holiday sweepstakes gives customers a chance to win a Citi Prepaid Card worth up to $10,000; Facebook campaign to raise money for Toys for Tots

NEW YORK, November 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — Citi launched a promotion to give thousands of its customers the chance to win a prepaid card worth up to $10,000 — just for shopping for the holidays! Starting this week, Citi customers can register their eligible Citi credit card or debit card for the Citi Holiday Sweepstakes at stories.citi.com. Every time customers use their registered card for eligible purchases from November 15, 2010 through December 31, 2010, they’ll get a chance to win a prepaid card ranging in value from $10 to $10,000.

“The holidays are a wonderful time to give back, and at Citi we are committed to rewarding our customers for their business,” said Terry O’Neil, Executive Vice President, Citi Cards. “This promotion is our way of thanking our customers by giving them a chance to get a little something extra for using their Citi card during the holidays.”

In addition, Citi will also give back with a national initiative to support Toys for Tots through its newly launched Facebook page. Starting on November 19, the Citi Facebook page will support Toys for Tots, by encouraging consumers to post a story about a favorite childhood toy they received as a child. For each story posted, Citi will donate $10 to Toys for Tots, up to $100,000.

Citi will also have pop-up events in major shopping areas in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles from November 19 through November 21 to help give back to Toys for Tots. Consumers can stop by and have their holiday photo taken. For every photo taken, Citi will donate another $10 to Toys for Tots.
