Consumers Digest Lists Children International a Top Charity

Children's charity uses donations efficiently.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 2, 2009) /PRNewswire/ — Consumers Digest magazine finds Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization, a leading humanitarian relief organization working efficiently.

The magazine lists Children International 22nd among other domestic Development/Humanitarian Relief organizations having spent 80 percent of its total expenses on programs that provide assistance to poor children and their families around the world with medical and educational support.

Consumers Digest researched nearly one thousand charities over a three-month period to discover which charities used their donations most efficiently. The report was based on each charity's financial reports and other documents submitted by each organization.
