MULTIPLE U.S. CITY TOLLWAYS* ARE FREE ON THE MOST HEAVILY TRAVELED DAY OF THE YEAR

Story Summary:

Transportation experts say the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the heaviest travel day of the year. And on this day, Maxwell House Coffee is picking up the tab for all motorists at toll plazas in eight U.S. cities. Maxwell House is paying fares for each car that passes through the selected tollways. In addition, for each vehicle, the company will make a donation – up to $100,000 – to America's Second Harvest, the nation's food bank system that helps feed 25 million hungry people each year.
