Soap Brand Unveils 12-Foot Soap Replica of Statue of Liberty

Story Summary:

Ivory Soap, in celebration its 125th anniversary, is unveiling a 12-foot, to-scale replica of the Statue of Liberty in carved out of Ivory Aloe. Ivory Soap is also making a donation to Save America's Treasures, a Washington D.C.-based program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, dedicated to identifying and rescuing the enduring symbols of American tradition. Save America's Treasures is a national effort to protect America's threatened cultural treasures, including historic structures, collections, works of art, maps and journals that illuminate the history and culture of the United States.

Save America's Treasures has designated over 1,000 "Official Projects" across the United States. In just six years, Save America's Treasures at the National Trust has generated $55 million that, together with $188 million in federal SAT challenge grants, has made this model public-private partnership the most significant preservation effort in American history.
