KRISPY KREME OPENS FIRST
STORE IN EUROPE
The Hot Light is on in Harrods - Central London
Background
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. today opens
its first store in Europe. Located in Harrods, London's
world-renowned department store, this marks the company's
second store outside North America. Doors will be open to
the public at 9:00 a.m. on October 3, and will serve London's
first-ever Krispy Kreme Hot Original Glazed Doughnuts, as
well as 14 additional varieties, the company's signature
coffees, and an extended beverage line.
The store will have its own designated street
entrance, and will begin serving at 7:00 a.m. daily. It
will feature Krispy Kreme's doughnut-making theatre, along
with the "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign, which announces to customers
when Krispy Kreme's signature Hot Original Glazed Doughnuts
are being made.
Having just experienced great success in
Australia, Krispy Kreme will continue their international
expansion, with plans of opening 24 additional Krispy Kreme
stores throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of
Ireland over the next 5 years.
